I have spent the past week or more going through images, text, and information for my website update. The learning curve is pretty steep even for someone like me who put together a WordPress site in the past. Too many choices and variables. I need a website that is modern, easy to update, and better reflects my photography and services.
It has been a long slog of resizing and renaming images, optimizing them for the web, and review of templates and functions. My tip for anyone considering this is to do the background work first. Write copy as plain text. Cull images into folders to become galleries, edit, rename and resize. That work will help you with Alt Text and descriptions. It will save you so much time and effort when you decide on the template.
My new website is still in the works, so no links to the new site yet. Check back soon.
